Nikon Digital Camera best for Ebay Lisitng Photos

I am looking for some communication on purchasing a New Nikon Digital Camera due west/Lens

I make my living selling items on eBay and have been doing so for the by 15 years. There are days I may have over 200 photos and I usually snap over one,000 photos in a vii twenty-four hour period week. I take gone thru eight (8) digital cameras in my 15 years of selling on eBay. Hither is the photograph size eBay recommends for their list photos:

"Nosotros (eBay) recommend a setting that produces original pictures of 1024x768 pixels (a common size) or some values shut to that. Pictures of that size provide ample prototype data for producing high-quality pictures when resized and compressed to the eBay standard sizes by on eBay servers. The file size of a 1024x768 resolution JPEG-format moving picture generally ranges between 300-600KB, well below the upload limit. Consult your photographic camera manual for instructions on how to fix picture resolution."

Well-nigh of my photos are portrait size (Wearable, Boots/Shoes, Tools, Books. DVD's, Bicycles, Toys, Pocket-sized Antiques) and close-ups westward/tripod (Jewelry, Coins, Stamps. Pin Backs, Wrist Watches) Most of my close-upwardly photos take a United states Quarter in them for size reference. I am currently employed a Canon Insubordinate w/ a 4GB SD carte du jour. I edit every photo I mail service on eBay so I have to click and paste well-nigh of my SD Card photos to another file as my 4GB card gets filled up fast and editing slows down.

I have decided to treat myself to a Brand New Nikon camera to make my life simpler and easy. When I Google Nikon Digital Photographic camera may different models show up and I become dislocated.

Re: Nikon Digital Photographic camera best for Ebay Lisitng Photos

There is no reason a Catechism Rebel would non do exactly what you want to do.  There are probably settings in the camera that will save relatively pocket-sized images and permit efficient apply of your retention card space and computer hard drive infinite.  You should exist able to save thousands of photos to your retention bill of fare.

Not knowing what photographic camera model you are using- I look in the manual for my Nikon D7200 and find that the smallest image it will tape is 2992x2000.  I recall years ago my married woman was doing ebay sales and using her Panasonic FZ5 to salvage images in 640x480 size for employ on ebay.  So dissimilar cameras will save in dissimilar sizes.

Bold your Canon saves images in larger format than 1024x768, y'all could use a free software program such as Irfanview to resize the images to the correct size for ebay utilise.  I use other programs for most of my paradigm editing but I find Irfanview convenient to resize a whole folder total of paradigm files at ane time.  For instance yous could connect your memory card to your computer, run Irfanview, and have it relieve smaller versions of the files to your figurer hard drive set for posting to ebay.

Any DX sensor size Nikon camera, even an older one, will create pictures of such quality that it will be impossible to notice any difference on east-bay pictures betwixt it and the most expensive one. For instance (for a mere $230.-):

If you experience you need to mail service better photographs on e-bay, the offset thing you might want to practice is to buy a flash light and larn how to use it off-camera with a diffuser.

You certainly don't need annihilation as good equally an interchangeable lens photographic camera for photos of the characteristics that you lot posted.

Only if you lot want 1, by all ways get ane.

The affiche that said get a D850 - that's a cracking camera but might be overkill, depending upon your skills and budget. If you are a beginner the D3xxx (whatever model) would be fine. I'd recommend though a D5xxx model for ameliorate controls (non necessarily better pictures).

What also makes no sense is worrying virtually a 4gb SD card if y'all are ready to spend $500USD or more than for a good Nikon, given how inexpensive SD cards are.

For old-style film shooters, SD cards are CHEAPER than the price of the equivalent corporeality of film e'er was, fifty-fifty without processing costs. Fifty-fifty if you fill up up the SD carte only once and never reuse information technology over again.

Frankly whatsoever photographic camera volition do what you desire.  I'd look into ane that is nicely wi-fi or bluetooth connected to download the snaps.  Google "tethered shooting".

Either fashion you don't demand a plush camera and truthfully one with a small sensor will exist better because getting it all in focus will be easier.

I concur with an earlier affiche.  You should look into a smaller sensor camera.  Much easier to become the entire detail in focus. And for the resolution they recommend perfectly adequate.

For that matter, why does it demand to be a DSLR?  Y'all'll get meliorate depth of field with a smaller sensor camera - a compact with a short zoom, macro setting, and 1" or fifty-fifty 1/ii.3" sensor would do fine for ebay pics.  Use a tripod and continuous lighting, and yous can utilise base ISO to command racket.

Any Nikon will work as long equally it can office with a remote and has a tripod mount (they all do).

An quondam D5000 ($300 used) with the eighteen-55 kit lens (included) would be fine.  I utilise the Nikon 85mm Macro lens quite a bit for ebay shots for articulate accurate closeups of makers marks and production details.

Have you actually worn out 8 cameras in 15 years? If you lot want to stop wearing out the camera, go a mirrorless. The shutter machinery is not used in electronic silent shutter mode and there is no limit to the number of shots yous can take during the life of the photographic camera.

If yous are taking 1000 photos a week, that is 52,000 per year and with the lower cost cameras the shutter is likely fail inside two years. The more expensive last longer. High terminate Sony'south are at present at 500,000 activations.

The blazon of photography you are doing tin can be done past virtually any photographic camera you want. All you need is good light. Every camera I know has the ability to scale down the JPEG size so that the images are smaller. Information technology just doesn't brand sense to me to purchase an expensive camera and and so proceed to wear out the shutter so quickly while there is a way to non have to experience shutter wearable out at all, no thing how many pictures you lot want to have.

One characteristic I would look for in what you do is to be able to charge the battery via the USB port while using the camera.  There are some cameras that can do this.  My Sony A6300 can for example.  I can plug in the USB connector to provide it ability and not have to worry well-nigh batteries going low, even if I shoot all day.

I dunno.... My sales boomed one time I bought the D5.

Had to sell it and go with a D500 because the business got too overwhelming. I couldn't go on upwards with sales.

Nevertheless... I remember I'll have to higher a shipping dept or downgrade to a D40.
